Jayson Sutcliffe is Rolaboi

Tuesday October 23, 2007
Jayson Sutcliffe is one of the official ambassadors for the 2007 52nd World Artistic Roller Skating Championships in Gold Coast Australia. He is also the author of "Rolaboi - Renegade Skater," an autobiography of his skating life and the struggle to find himself. It all started with his discovery of a pair of old roller skates in a garage. And continued four World Championship titles, fifteen placements in the top three at World Championships, nineteen Australian National titles and one German Cup title later. In fact, he was the first artistic roller skater from Australia to win any individual medal at a World Championship, and he made history by becoming the first skater to win World titles in both quad roller and inline roller figure skating events. His story and his struggles will amaze you. What's even more amazing is that when I've been able to speak to him briefly or watch him in action, I discovered that this talented skater and author just loves anyone or anything related to his sport. He's a lot like you and me!
