Inline Figure Skaters Really Perform for Arena Crowd

The media - including event ambassador Rolaboi - Jason Sutcliffe who lead the way in linline figure skating and is shown with the 2007 Ladies Inline Silver Medalist Kristen Slade - was out and so were the 
spectators. The inline freeskating long program participants enjoyed the support of teammates and an enthusiastic crowd as each skater and participating country served up some of the nicest overall inline figure skating the sport has seen at the world level. In the past, a few exceptionally talented skaters with custom made equipment and new ideas rose to the top. This year it was obvious that this group included more seasoned inline skaters who have been honing inline skills for a while, and the new skaters were bringing fresh approaches to existing content as well as their own new concepts to the sport. One of the more dramatic new inline moves was demonstrated when Anup Kumar Yama translated his signature heel sit spin from his quad program into an inline heel spin. There was high drama with Kristen Slade and Eric Traounez, lots of energy in Courtney Donovan and Gustavo Casado De Melo and much improved form and styling in the majority of the skaters.
