Let's Resolve to Inline Skate Into a New Year!

Friday December 28, 2007
Why not wrap up a bunch of the usual New Year's resolutions into one attractive package by starting to inline skate or adding more skating time into your lifestyle, if you already skate. Just a little bit of additional skating time can help with weight loss, fitness and stress reduction.

I am as guilty as anyone and have the extra pounds to prove it. The holiday goodies didn't help, but spending more time coaching than skating is the monster that I personally need to tame. So, as I sit here working on the lesson schedule for my skaters, I'm adding time to the schedule for myself.

If there are other skaters out there who need to eat less, workout more, lose weight, tone muscle or just quit some other unhealthy habit, try writing down a list of the things that inline skating activities can help you accomplish. Or make a schedule that includes a space for the activity you need, or additional time to work on that special skating goal. This tangible list will help make the idea stick and the commitment real.
