2008 SkateFresh.nl Has Another Inline Skating Tour
Friday January 25, 2008
2005 and 2006 were very fresh inline skating years. In 2005 SkateFresh organized the Holland Highlights Tour, which had participants
from 15 countries and was the first inline event lasting more than two days in the Netherlands. Then, in 2006 inline skaters from 20 countries skated for five days from the eastern border of Germany, along rivers to the west and to the North Sea shore.
Now, the SkateFresh Tour is back. SkateFresh will bring inline skaters from many countries together to have fun, exchange experiences and learn about other inline skating events. The SkateFresh Tour 2008 is a five day recreational inline skating tour which will make use of the unique cycle path network through Holland's beautiful countryside. It's perfect for inline skating.
This season's tour runs from June 9 through June 15 2008. Skaters will sleep in tents, luggage will be transported in a lorry and a basic breakfast and an affordable dinner will be arranged. Expect skating distances from 50 to 80 kilometres each day, with speeds of about 19 km/h. Registration begins on February 1, 2008, and inline skaters from any country with long distance experience and good braking skills are welcome!
