Skateline Malaysia's Saturday Night Skate

Monday January 28, 2008
Skateline Malaysia's recent Saturday Night Skate in Putrajaya provided social skating, exercise, and a fun way to contribute to a good cause. Many of the inline skaters were children who learned to skate just for this event.

The Skateline Malaysia Saturday Night Skate is similar to events like the Pari Roller in France, where skaters gather to skate through Paris on Friday night to tour the city and socialize with other inline skaters. Now crowds reaching up to 35,000 during their three-hour tour.

Berlin has a similar event in the summer called Sunday Skate Night with crowds numbering as many as 10,000. The Saturday Night Skate in Putrajaya was created with the same independent, fun-loving spirit in mind. It is one of the many events organised by Skateline Malaysia that allows Malaysian skaters to meet other skaters to socialise, get some exercise in safety as well as work towards a good cause while having fun.
