A Professional Can Check the Fit of Your Inline Skates

Thursday March 6, 2008
There are many things on or about your inline skates that you can repair yourself. But, if there are any problems with the way your skating boot feels or fits - and you feel confident that you have the right size - please consult a professional and have your feet evaluated and measured properly.

Problems like blisters, calluses, sliding or shifting in the boot, pressure points, rubbing, pronation, supination and more can cause a lot of discomfort as well as performance related skating issues. These things can usually be corrected by using additional fit pads, orthotics, pronation insoles or other inserts. Occasionally another brand of equipment will just be a better choice for your foot. Your inline skate retailer or your instructor can refer you to boot fitters and services that specialize in correcting these problems for inline skaters.
