Little Inliners Can Try Skating Day Camps
Saturday June 7, 2008
While your big kids are in school activities, team sports and away at residential camps, parents can take the little ones to skating school. This is a great way to lay the foundation for a lifetime of inline and quad skating enjoyment. Your local skating rink should have a Learn to Skate Day Camp program or a daytime preschool session for children 2 1/2 to 5 years old.
These programs are affordable and usually run in 5 week sessions. Training usually lasts 15-30 minutes in length and is sandwiched in between up to 2 hours of fun for parents and kids. Many offer drop-in day rates, too. Even if it's not officially called a day camp, you can let the little ones think it's one – so they'll think they're skating like the big kids.
