Extreme athletes from around the world - including downhill skateboard, inline skating and street luge participants - are coming to Goldendale, Washington, USA from August 27-31, 2008. They’re coming for the Maryhill Festival of Speed, which is hosting the International Gravity Sports Association’s World Championships. According to the IGSA, this will be the first time the world championships will be held outside of Europe.
The event lasts five days and includes 200 extreme sports athletes from 12 countries who will zoom down the challenging Maryhill Loops Road just south of Goldendale. Spectating is free and the festival provides a free spectator shuttle on August 30-31.
