Inline Skating - The "No Workout" Workout Plan

I was initially surprised to find the Inline Skating site listed in the main About.com Sports and Recreation hub as a fitness thing. I usually think of the competitive and action disciplines first.

But in real life, inline skating is used by many as a great way to get fit without the "working out" stigma. Everyone knows that exercise is essential to overall health and well-being, but it is hard to plan an official and sometimes boring fitness program into a busy life.

Whether you enjoy inline skating for the sport of it or take advantage of all of the social events, trips, tours and more, skating activities can jump start your life while tricking you into thinking you are having fun. This fitness cover-up is very effective with kids and teens, too. What an easy way to keep yourself on a workout plan without taking time away from family, social or just good old relaxation to go and "workout."
