The Beat Goes On In These Skating Lessons

Jenny Jen Goldstein and her musical approach to inline and roller instruction can help make skating lessons fun for the new year. First, Jen and partner TAKi76 (Peter Panagakos) produced "Boogie Back Rap" and "Phat Sk8trax - You Can Stop." Now, they have a whole collection of funky, hip-hop music that somehow manages to include clearly spoken, technically correct instructional skating lyrics. Jen raps about how to stop, maneuver, do skate maintenance, avoid mistakes and more. The songs each have a beat that is appropriate for the technique that is being explained. And each song has instrumental segments, so skaters can actually try the technique that was described.

Jen's instructional lyrics were developed using her own experiences as a skating instructor. She has shared her techniques with thousands of skaters including Julius Erving, John Cusack and Bonnie Blair. Her CDs are suitable as a supplement to any inline, quad or ice beginner skating program and can be used by individuals for self-directed training, too. If you're not a beginner, they provide a great skating beat for any level skater. For more information on the Phat Sk8trax collection, email Jen or visit the Phat Sk8trax site.
