Camp Woodward Flips Into Beijing, China

Camp Woodward is sliding far to the east and into a $4 million facility in Beijing this summer. And the Chinese government is paying for the new extreme sports training center for inline skating, skateboarding, snowboarding and BMX bicycling. The camp will also offer gymnastics, cheer, video production, graphic design, animation, audio recording, photography and English classes. Camp Woodward entered a licensing and consulting agreement with the Chinese government to help develop Chinese action sports athletes by building their first international camp. Action sports are new turf for Chinese youth, but with Woodward-style training in their own backyard, expect to see eastern extreme activities ramp up.
