2009 Games Give Roller Sports a World of Exposure

Every four years, in the seasons following the Olympics, the world’s best athletes continue to pursue their quest for excellence by participating in The World Games. Much like the Olympics, this event generates worldwide exposure for the participating sports and athletes and provides an opportunity for thousands of athletes from different sports and countries to experience unity and friendship in their sport. The 2009 World Games in Kaohsiung will feature Inline Speed Skating, Inline Hockey and Roller Figure Skating on these dates:

• Inline Hockey – July 23, 2009 to July 26, 2009
  
  
• Inline Speed Skating – July 17, 2009 to July 19, 2009
  
  
• Roller Figure Skating – July 21, 2009 to July 22, 2009

The World Games are governed by the International World Games Association (IWGA) which includes 32 International Sports Federations that govern all sports and disciplines that are eligible for participation in the Official Sports Program. Now let's get into the Olympic Games.
