Freestyle slalom skaters from more than 30 National Federations on five continents, will gather from August 17-24 for the 2009 World Freestyle Skating Championships. This event will be held at the Shanghai Huangpu Roller Sport Hall, 4/F No.235 on Dalin Road, in Huangpu, Shanghai, China. Competitions will include speed slalom, freestyle slalom, pairs slalom, slides and a battle competition on the final day of the championship.
The 2009 World Freestyle Skating Championships are being sponsored and organized by the Fédération Internationale de Roller Sports(FIRS) , the Chinese Roller Skating Association (CRSA) and other supporters to help promote the development of international freestyle skating sports among the FIRS member countries and regions.
