On the eve of any big skating event, athletes and coaches get antsy. Our Great Lakes Regional Championship starts this week, so the adrenaline rush is on... or so we say. We have pumped up the practices, checked and re-checked rules, sweated out a few costume details, double checked music mixes, replaced bearings and cleaned wheels. The phone lines, email boxes, Facebook and Twitter are smoking with anticipation and speculation between skaters and coaches from the Great Lakes as well as the other eight regions in USA Roller Sports. Emotions and energy levels are high... and we do this to ourselves every season during qualifying meet times.
