Don't Let Gravity Get You

By October 31, 2012

Follow me on:

Every year children manage to get hurt riding bikes, roller skating, skateboarding and inline skating - often because the use of safety rules and protective gear was not enforced and Mr. Gravity gets them. Fill out the poll below to let us know which wheeled sports that you think cause the most injuries to children and youth.

In spite of safety rules, protective gear, careful guardians and laws and regulations, things happen. The reality is that just one a moment without supervision - even a blink of the eyes - is an opportunity for Mr. Gravity (the evil culprit in my skating classes) to attack. Kids deserve to have fun on wheels, and apparently some wheel fun activities are safer than others - but you just can't get away from gravity.

Now, that you have given your opinion, get more information on ways to keep your preferred sport - inline skating - safe.  Visit SafeKids.org and discover that even when you combine inline skating, roller skating and hockey, skating is many times safer than riding a bike or skateboard.  Then, check out some tried and true safety tips to help your young skater - and the whole family - defy gravity when skating.

Hi – Great article, and timely! I have invented a new and exciting braking technology, Patent Pending, that I have named Gravity Master ™!!!! The brake is calf activated, and more stable and powerful than any brake before. Braking is done with one, or both feet simultaneously. The brake will fit virtually any inline skate, is easy to learn and remarkably effective especially on hills. The brake uses either Powerslide or RB brake pads.

I will be releasing a short video clip in the coming weeks to show the world the power Please visit Gravity Master ™ on Facebook and “LIKE” the page, and you’ll be sure to see the video when it is released!!!
