Another inline skater is looking from inline-to-ice for the Olympic dream. Brittany Bowe is now ranked number two in sprinting on the United States Long Track Speedskating team, and she is training to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Bowe has seen Chad Hedrick - a former inline skater - win bronze and silver Olympic medals. And other former inline competitors including Heather Richardson and Lauren Cholewinski now compete on ice.
Roller sports athletes must be pretty good, if ice keeps scooping us up. Come on Olympic Committee... give roller sports a shot and see how great we are in our own skates!
