Ron Creten from RC Sports just sent a hot tip that skate trainers for roller sports beginners were in the media on NBC's Today Show. Kathie Lee and Hoda were skating with some of the LA Derby Dolls in front of millions of viewers with the help of the trainers.
The Skate Mate Skate Trainers shown in this program clip - support systems, not people - are available at many roller skating centers during family sessions, tiny-tot sessions, school parties, private bookings and birthday parties. For those who can't take a lesson from a real live trainer, these tripods are a great way to get a reluctant session skater started.
Of course, in the news segment, the professional roller derby skaters also work with Kathie Lee and Hoda on a few basic skate techniques, and they give the celebrities their very own derby names, too.
