Let your android phone go to work to help you find locations, map your trails and organize your workout the next time you are ready to skate. These android applications are great tools to help make your inline skating activities more productive and more fun. Many are available on the internet or by surfing around through your android phone. If you have an iPhone that needs inline skating apps, there are a lot of good ones to choose from for it, too.

1. DieciZero Score Keeping App

DieciZero is an easy-to-use Android application that calculates the results of roller skating competitions. No need to carry bulky PCs, calculators or scoring sheets. With Diecizero you can manage the results of many events from local meets to the World Championships. This app supports competition with 3, 5 and 7 judges and runs scores for figures with 2,3 or 4 exercises, long or short + long programs and combined for an unlimited number of competitions at the same time. There is also a free demo version with limited functions.

Google's My Tracks is an application for your Android phone that enables you to record GPS tracks and view live statistics - such as time, speed, distance, and elevation - while inline skating, biking, running or participating in other outdoor activities. Once recorded, you can share your tracks, upload them to Google Spreadsheets and view them on Google My Maps. My Tracks integrates with Google Maps for real-time GPS, has a speed and altitude chart, and also tracks speed, time, and average miles per hour with audio announcements at distance increments. You can also track and store your progress online.

3. RunKeeper

RK (RunKeeper) has a chart that tracks pace, and it integrates with Twitter and Facebook. It can report time, distance, speed and even your calorie count for skating.

4. Cardio Trainer

Cardio Trainer provides useful information like average speed, distance traveled, altitude relative to speed and estimated calorie burn with audio voice announcements. It makes a good training partner for skating, running, biking, hiking and other similar outdoor sports. The application shows your GPS location in real-time and it saves your route for later viewing.

SportyPal is an easy to use mobile work out application that works on iPhone, Android, BlackBerry, Java, Symbian and Windows Mobile apps. You activate this app when you start skating or any distance traveled type fitness activity. SportyPal will overlay the path skated on google maps, keep track of tons of data, and upload information to the web.
