Definition:
1440 or 1440 jump is a shortened name for 1440 degrees of rotation in the air. This is an extremely difficult and seldom seen aggressive vert skating stunt, where the skater rotates four complete revolutions in the air before landing. There can be many variations of this 1440 jump based on body position and the park or street structure used for take-off and landing.
Quadruple jumps or quads exist by other names in inline, roller and ice figure skating as well as some other forms of skating, too.
Also Known As: 1440, quadruple jump
