Definition: Aggressive skating is a style or discipline of inline skating where the focus is on stunts, executed on street surfaces and urban structures or on specially designed ramps and pipes in skate parks. In this style of rollerblading, skaters perform jumps, spins and other stunts like grinding, in which skaters slide down railings or along curbs.
Most aggressive skaters use sturdy skates that are designed to give more strength and control for aggressive skating. The frame has thicker walls, grind plates (a gap and grooves in the center of the frame) between their second and third wheels and more reinforcements than other inline skates to accommodate many of the aggressive tricks.
