Definition:

Anti-rocker describes a wheel configuration used by aggressive skaters for rail-sliding and grinding. When a skate has anti-rocker, the biggest wheels are positioned on the toe and heel positions of the frame, and the smallest wheels are installed in the middle of the frame. On an inline frame with four wheels, the biggest wheels are at the first and fourth position and the small wheels are in the second and third position.

This gets the middle wheels out of the way of the rail or edge surface, so that sliding can be performed, the grind or slide space is increased and there is more stability for grinding and sliding maneuvers. Speed and turning ability will be reduced in skates with an anti-rocker set-up.
