What is Armor for Inline Skating and Action Sports?

By

Definition:

Armor is another term for the inline skating protective gear that is usually worn under a skater's regular apparel. Many aggressive and figure skaters use this term for external gear as well as for several specialized padded protective garments that are worn underneath the skater's clothing.

Armor protective wear is designed for beginners, competitors and even professionals in aggressive inline skating activities as well as snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, motorcycling and other action sports. The flexible armor is used to provide body protection without sacrificing range of motion. Various styles of body armor provide soft-padded protection for the thighs, hips, quads, shins, calves, back, spine, sides, shoulders, and the full length of the arms.

Types of Armor
  • Padded pants are full-length protective armor for use when protection of hips, quads, shins, and calves is needed.

  • Upper body armor provides excellent soft-padded protection for the back, sides, shoulders, and arms.

  • Padded shorts armor provide protection for hips and thighs.
