Definition: Artistic inline skating is the style of roller skating on inline skates that is most similar to ice figure skating. Quad skaters are also called artistic skaters, but inline artistic skaters usually compete in separate events and not against quads. Inline artistic (figure) skating has been included in the Federation Internationale de Roller Sports (FIRS) world championships since 2002 in Wuppertal, Germany.
