What Are Inline Skate Bearing Spacers?

By , About.com Guide

Definition: Bearing Spacers are small cylindrical parts that are placed between between the two bearings in each wheel to keep the bearings evenly spaced and direct the axles through the wheels. Bearing spacers can be plastic, steel or aluminum. Bearing spacers may be loose inside the wheel, or they may have threads that screw into the wheel axles to hold them in a fixed position.
