Kimani Has a Passion for Rhythm and Speed:
Kimani Griffin of Winston Salem, North Carolina is a member of the Piedmont Speed Club, but he shares his passion between classical guitar and inline speed skating. Kimani has devoted time and energy to both activities for many years. In addition to being an exceptionally talented classical guitarist, he is a champion speed skater and competes on the national and junior international level. Kimani recently received an endowment from the U.S. Olympic Committee to train under two-time Olympian Derek Parra in Utah for the 2010 Winter Games. For him, there is no choice between playing the guitar and speed skating – he would not want to do one without the other.
