Think of Inline Skating As Green Transportation

Thursday September 20, 2007
Motorbikes, go carts, power scooters and jet skis burn precious gas and emit poisonous fumes. Every time you inline skate, you are helping to save the world while having fun, because you are the fuel. Enjoy all of the benefits of being a pedestrian while cruising along with the speed of a small vehicle. Your inline skates are a wonderful way to transport yourself from one place to another, especially if there is a scenic view. But wait, there’s more. Once you arrive at your destination, there’s no need to pay for parking. Just take your vehicles with you.

(1) Jeff Shuman says:

I agree! I have been skating to work now for about a year on a regular basis. It started out as as answer to very high gas prices, but I feel so much better both physically and mentally that I plan to continue indefinately. The only downside is that I can be a bit self rightous about what I am doing for the environment, and what others are not.
