Inline Skates Make Great Transportation for House Calls

Saturday November 24, 2007
There are even more good reasons to inline skate than I ever thought. While you are making yourself fit, relieving stress and saving the environment, you can beat traffic jams, too. Although most roads, trails, streets and sidewalks are not designed for inline traffic, skates are often used to run errands, travel between classes on campus, make deliveries and get around town. One doctor in New York City uses inline skates to get to patients during rush hour.

Obviously, inline skates already fill a few transportation needs for some urban dwellers. Perhaps if we all use our skates for a few more chores, the needs of inline skaters will be considered when thoroughfares are built. How do you put your skates to work?
